The Challenge

Ya Hala with Haithum is a fast-paced, travel-based documentary interview series exploring Arab-American culture, immigration stories, and community impact across the United States. Each episode demanded high-end broadcast production capabilities on location—from intimate interviews to dynamic establishing shots—with a seamless workflow from set to final delivery.

The creator needed a production partner who could manage the complete technical pipeline: multi-camera setup, professional audio engineering, color grading, and final delivery—all while traveling across multiple states.

Our setup combined three professional cinema cameras for maximum flexibility and coverage:

Lumix S5IIx – Primary A-camera for interviews and narrative shots, capturing 4K at 24fps in LOG for maximum color grading flexibility
Sony A7S3 (×2) – Secondary B and C cameras for wide establishing shots, parallel angles, and dynamic footage
All cameras synchronized and shot in LOG color space to preserve shadow and highlight detail for post-production

Audio quality was mission-critical. We deployed a multi-microphone setup with comprehensive in-the-field and post-production processing:
