RØDE PodMic Dynamic XLR Microphone
I use the PodMic for its solid metal build and good audio. I would rather learn EQ than overspend on a podcast mic.

I use the RØDE PodMic now. I like the all-metal build and the quality of the microphone.
Why I use it
My approach is to capture good audio with the polar pattern I need, then shape the sound with EQ afterward. The PodMic is a dynamic microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern.
For podcasts, I do not think you need a very expensive dynamic microphone. I would put the time into learning EQ and getting a good recording first.
Before you buy
This is the XLR PodMic, not the PodMic USB. It needs an XLR cable and a compatible audio interface or recorder, such as the Zoom F8n Pro.
See RØDE’s specifications for the cardioid pattern, dynamic capsule, and metal construction.
